Wow! Internal medicine has such interesting patients and pathologies. I learned so much on this rotation. Studying for the shelf exam is tricker than some of the other rotations because it is broad and covers all of the organ systems. When studying for the shelf exam, it is important to begin practice questions early on in the rotation. Since there are over 1000 questions to complete, it is helpful to have a set study schedule to ensure you finish all of the UWorld questions in a timely manner.

NBME practice exams
The exam was harder to study for than the more narrow focused shelf exams. Some questions were tricky but revisiting all of the IM topics was an amazing refresher on such important medicine topics. UWorld does a good job of going over the most important concepts. This rotation was very memorable and I learned a lot! Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
Good luck studying,
